December Sunday schedule:

Regular guided tours 10:00 am and 12:00 noon, Tea program:  1:30 pm  Guided Tour, 2:30 pm Ballroom Concert with The Rhode Island Touring Ensemble. Following the concert a Silver tea. Fresh holiday cookies, cakes, cranberry bread and fancy pastries are served on china with silver along with eggnog, mulled cider, coffee and tea. The choir leads us all together in singing familiar seasonal music. Last tour starts at 4:00 pm. A second performance from 4:30 - 7:00 may be scheduled on some Sundays.

Christmas spirit is alive at Belcourt Castle. With bright tiny white lights decorating the arbor vitae, wreaths of balsam on the gates and festive poinsettias the century-old Louis XIII style chateau glistens with old world charm.

Paneling and mantels, staircase and tabletops in the opulent interiors are adorned with creative displays. In the English Library the Christmas tree is decorated with children in mind, while trees with red and gold ornaments are reflected in the huge French Empire mirrors in the rich Italian Banquet Hall. A "Tree of Peace” stands majestically in the Gothic Ballroom  with medieval knights in armor. 13th century stained glass, Medieval and Renaissance furniture, and a fairytale castle fireplace make the room a Christmas wonderland.

Enter the magical world of Belcourt after dark on a Candlelight Tour to enjoy the richly appointed rooms lit mostly with candles. Soft seasonal music playing in the background gives the feel of stepping back a hundred or more years into the gentler times.
